Ah, everyone’s favorite android Avenger, the Vision. I hate how complicated they made him look in the movies, and just recently, within the last year, they’ve brought him back to a more classic look in the comics. Thank goodness. Anyway, this is my obvious trace job homage of the famous last page where we find out that the Vision isn’t the soulless machine he presents himself as.
The whole reason I do pieces like this, besides the opportunity to homage my heroes, like John Buscema, here, is to sort of learn / understand better the ink marks they make on the page and then, therefore, how to replicate them myself digitally, which is different to doing it on paper. I’ve done a similar one of these a while back, and it came out… okay…
…but you can tell I’m a lot more confident in using the digital tools to look a bit more like the real thing now than I was then. The struggle never ends.
I did promise some Missing Link Convoy (and Lunar Lander Convoy) pics and some words on each, but honestly, I haven’t taken either one out of their box yet. Space is at a premium in Casa de Convoy, after all. Soon.
